As part of advocacy and capacity building efforts on the Project iMenstruate, Erudite Women’s Empowerment Foundation conducted a Capacity Building Workshop on Thursday,11th September 2025, at Ancilla Junior High School in Konongo, targeting school- based teachers. The workshop aimed to bridge some menstrual management knowledge gaps identified on menstrual during a EWEF’s project pre implementation survey, and create a supportive environment for menstruating school girls.

The workshop was led by 2 Public Health professionals from the Asante Akim Central Municipal Health Directorate, witnessing engagements with 19 teachers in an interactive and informative session. The facilitators demonstrated expertise in delivering knowledge on the subject, and thoroughly addressed emerging questions and concerns raised by teachers.
Outcomes of the Workshop
The workshop successfully brought together 19 teachers who in the end expressed satisfaction with the training and knowledge offered by the experts. Facilitators actively engaged teachers, promoting a deeper understanding of menstrual management education

Despite power disruptions in the course of training, the workshop was successfully carried out as teachers and facilitators were willing to see to the completion of the training. This workshop marked a significant step in empowering teachers to better support menstruating school girls.
